Miley Cyrus’ homeless VMAs date jailed for 6 months

Miley Cyrus’ homeless MTV Video Music Awards date has been jailed for six months for violating his probation.

The 22-year-old, Jesse Helt from Oregon, who pleaded with Judge Monte Campbell claiming that he would like to be viewed as a “good person, not as a nuisance to society,” was sent to prison for failing to meet with his probation officer, the Mirror reported.

Helt, who turned himself in to police on August 29 and was freed on bail after a warrant was issued for his arrest, found international fame when Cyrus plucked him from obscurity to accept her award for best video and in doing so highlighting the plight of America’s homeless. (ANI)
