Rajkot, May 16: A mild tremor was today experienced in Gir forest in Junagadh district, officials said.
“The tremor measuring 2.9 on Richter scale was felt at around 12.25 pm but no casualties were reported,” Junagadh district collector A M Parmar said.
The epicentre of the tremor was 50 kms north of Talala town in the district, where the famous Gir lion sanctuary is located, the official said.
