Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was celebrated with due reverence and fervor across the state besides twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The meetings and processions began from the 11th of Rabi-ul-Awwal itself. Three major processions were taken out on 12th Rabiul Awwal in the morning by Sunni Dawat-e-Islami, Anjuman-e-Quadriya and Sunni United Forum of India. Thousands participated in the processions amidst sloganeering. Naat-e-Shareef was played on sound box during the processions. Mosques and streets were decorated with lights. Crackers were also burst at some places. Holy relic was also exhibited at several khanqas.
Customary public meeting of All India Majlis Tameer-e-Millat was held at Nizam college ground. Acharya Pramod Krishnan addressed the grand historic public meeting. Jalsa-e-Rahmatul Lil-alameen was organized at Darus-salam till late night on 11th Rabi-ul-Awwal under the supervision of Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi.
Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel inaugurated blood donation camp at Asifia Central Library. Elaborate security arrangements were made by police department in view of coinciding of Sankranti and Milad-un-Nabi.
