Microsoft”s PC partners express `tremendous confidence` in new CEO Satya Nadella

Microsoft”s PC partners have reportedly expressed ”tremendous confidence” in the appointment of Indian-origin Satya Nadella as the new CEO.

Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing said that the company has a long-standing relationship with Microsoft and they have confidence in Nadella”s expertise, experience and leadership.

Yuanqing said that Lenovo looked forward to many more productive, innovative and exciting years working with Microsoft to deliver outstanding products to its customers, The Verge reports.

Dell”s CEO, Michael Dell, echoed similar thoughts and said that they were pleased to know that Nadella had been named as Ballmer”s successor, adding that the former cloud chief has a strong combination of engineering innovation and business acumen.

As the PC partners expressed delight at the new appointment, mobile manufacturers, LG, Samsung and HTC, chose to keep mum with no comments, owing to displeasure with Microsoft prioritizing Nokia as its main Windows Phone partner and also focusing on manufacturing smartphones of its own, the report added.
