New Delhi: Microsoft India lab has announced the appointment of Sriram Rajamani as the new managing director for its Bengaluru facility.

The company in a release said Sriram will spearhead Microsoft India’s continued focus on world-class research, innovation and collaboration with the scientific community.

“India has one of the fastest growing and most dynamic IT industries, and it’s also a unique place in which to do cutting-edge research,” said Corporate Vice-President Microsoft Research Labs Jeannette Wing.

He replaces Chandu Thekkath, who was the managing director of the lab for two years.
