Microsoft announces Windows 10 app mirroring feature for Android, iPhone users

Washington: At its Surface hardware event, Microsoft also announced a slew of new software and tools which are aimed at soaking in more users for its Windows 10 platform. One of the interesting announcements surrounded the launch of an app mirroring feature for Android users.

The feature will be available in Windows as an app called Your Phone and is aimed at allowing Android phone users view or use any app on their device from a Windows desktop, The Verge reported.

Giving a peek into the feature, Microsoft wrote in a tweet,”Sometimes you can’t stop for a text. Now you don’t have to. Get Your Phone app and text right from your PC. Available now in the #Windows10 October 2018 Update. #MicrosoftEvent.”

Phone app will be available with the new Windows 10 October update and in its initial phase will allow Android stock texting and photos app, and iPhone webpage transfer. More support is expected later.
