Michael Moore teases project targeting Trump

Washington: Acclaimed filmmaker Michael Moore has teased an upcoming project involving US President Donald Trump and Roseanne Barr.

Oscar-winning Moore took to Twitter to post a clip from a 1998 episode of ‘The Roseanne Show’, in which Barr, Trump and Moore all appear.

He wrote alongside, “I know Roseanne. And I know Trump. And they are about to rue the day they knew me…”

In the clip, the three of them can be seen discussing Moore’s 1989 documentary ‘Roger & Me’, which portrayed the devastation caused by the decision of Roger Smith, the General Motors CEO, to close several plants in Flint, Michigan
“It’s terrific, I tell you, I love what he did,” Trump then tells Moore of his film. “If I was Roger, I wouldn’t have liked it but I enjoyed it. I hope he never does one on me though.”

The video then shows the URL of Moore’s official website. On the website, the text reads, “I’ve been working on a secret project for the last few months.”
The 64-year-old’s tweet follows the earlier post (May 29, local time) in which Moore wrote, “So @therealroseanne woke up this morning & posted hateful, slanderous tweets about me, Valerie Jarrett, George Soros & Chelsea Clinton – and ABC fired her. If only NBC had fired Trump when he started his racist birther movement in 2011, he wouldn’t be in the White House today.”

Meanwhile, Moore had been working on a Trump takedown titled ‘Fahrenheit 11/9’ which was officially revealed at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

However, the film is in question after the collapse of the producer, Harvey Weinstein.
