MGM Hospital doctors stage dharna, demand salaries

Warangal, July 05: Doctors at the MGM Hospital in Warangal stepped up the pressure on the government to release their salaries by staging a dharna outside the hospital premises on Monday.

The doctors, including house surgeons complained that they have not been paid their salaries since the last three months.
The dharna by the doctors had affected the normal routine of the hospital and only patients with serious illnesses or life threatening injuries being taken care of.

According to one of the doctors who took part in the dharna, they would increase the frequency of their protests if their legitimate demands are not met soon.

A doctor, on condition of anonymity said that they would be forced to resort to a hunger-strike if the government does not take immediate action and release their salaries.
