Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy today said the Government Hospital in Warangal will be upgraded with 2000 beds and ample facilities.
Close on the heels of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao making a surprise visit to Fever hospital at Nallakunta in Hyderabad and expressing displeasure over the absence of both the Superintendent and RMO, the Health Minister made a visit to the MGM Hospital in Warangal.
Speaking to mediapersons later, the Health Minister said the MGM hospital would be upgraded with 2000 more beds soon. Steps will be taken to fill vacant posts and increase facilities like ultra modern equipment and other paraphernalia, he said. Expressing satisfaction over the medical services being provided in the hospital, he asked the officials on the present condition of the hospital besides asking some patients on the treatment being given.
All the government hospitals will soon be strengthened with adequate staff, doctors and facilities to provide corporate-level medical services and treatment, he maintained. The Government is committed to provide all facilities and infrastructure in its hospitals across the State, he added. (NSS)
