MFM to focus on struggle against MNCs

Adilabad,Febdruary 24: An ‘alternative’ media is being launched in Bhilai, Chattisgarh, in April with the objective of uniting all mass movements across the country.

The media organisation will be launched under the aegis of the ‘Azadi Bachao Andolan’ which is undergoing reorganisation following the vacuum due to the death of its founder Rajiv Dikshit.

Named Media For Movement (MFM), the new entity will focus on uniting mass movements and trade unions engaged in opposing activities of multi-nationals in different parts of the country.

“We will work to enlighten people through internet, theatres and through transit medium in order to change the faulty system,” reveals Dinesh Choudhary, the Editor.

He is in Adilabad in connection with a documentary on Kala Ashram founder and winner of Kala Ratna award Guruji Ravinder Sharma.

He spoke to The Hindu about the objectives of the ‘alternative’ media on Wednesday.

“We intend to present in proper perspective our ancient system of governance, economy, politics and education. There is a lot that needs improvement in today’s world,” observes the MFM editor, as he indicates the lacunae.

Talking about the havoc wrought by multi-nationals, Mr. Choudhary says farmer suicides are a result of capitalist dominance in agriculture.

He criticises the present education system that, in his opinion, awards degrees but not skill.
