Metro Water Board seizes assets of bill defaulters

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board invoked the RR Act by confiscating mobile assets for non-payment of dues from three defaulters in Chintal area on Wednesday.

According to the Board, the occupants of the premises of H.No.3-50, Quthbullapur Village with CAN No. 613670461 (failed to pay the dues Rs.33,258/-), H.No.2-47, Quthbullapur Village with CAN No. 092202955 (failed to pay the dues Rs.21,380/-), H.No.44-27, Beerappa Nagar, Jagatgiri Gutta, with CAN No. 092127584 (failed to pay the dues Rs.25,000/-) already under disconnection, served Red Notice and Form-I under the RR Act for seizing assets but still the customers failed to pay the dues.

Hence, under the RR Act, the moveable assets proportionate to the dues like Computer Monitor, Computer CPU, Bikes, TV, Fridge etc., were seized In the presence of V.L.Praveen Kumar, Chief General Manager(E)/Revenue Circle, M.B.Praveen Kumar, General Manager(Engg.), O&M Division No.XII, Quthbullapur and officials of Vigilance Wing, Task Force of HMWSSB.

HMWSSB Managing Director M Jagadeeshwar reiterated that the Board would not tolerate defaulters and consumers are requested to make payments promptly. (INN)
