Hyderabad Metro Rail Project would embellish the global city of Hyderabad changing its shape and manifestation besides easing perennial traffic congestion, according to Hyderabad Metro Rail Managing Director, NVS Reddy.
Participating in a “Meet-the-Press” program here on Saturday, Reddy said the works were continuing in an expeditious manner. On the completion of the project, the City would adorn an enticing and beautiful look and exemplify myriad varieties of rare and latest features at the stations to offer the best transportation services, he said. The Metro Rail chief asserted that the project was being developed in a fabulous manner.
Denying that the Metro Rail works were going on a sluggish pace, NVS Reddy said metro stations are being constructed at bus stands and railway stations to pick up the commuters. The project, he said, would add to the awesome look of the city which will go in for complete change in its appearance that will be a cynosure to the people. Coupled with latest technology, modern equipment and trained manpower is adding to the beauty of the project, he remarked. The people will be involved in the project whose works are nearing completion on PPP (Public Private Partnership) mode, he said, adding that transparent procedures adopted to acquire land for the project and given back 1,000 sq yard developed land to the farmers who gave their bit of lands, Reddy added.(NSS)
