The Sridharan Committee on Metro Rail project in Andhra Pradesh has submitted a report on two projects in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam cities.
The Metro rail project report of Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam cities was submitted to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The AP government has decided to construct and develop 39-km Metrol rail in Visakhapatnam at an estimated cost of Rs 9,750 crore and 25km in Vijayawada at a cost of Rs 6,250 crore.
In the first phase in Vijayawada, a 13km metro rail line would be constructed and later 12km will be taken up in second phase. (NSS)
