Hyderabad: Launching of Metro Rail project in the Old City of Hyderabad is still a mirage. Rumours are making rounds in official circles that the announcement of Metro Rail project before the elections was an election strategy since no action has been taken so far in connection with the acquisition of properties.

L&T Company has also not formulated plans to launch a metro rail project in Old City.
There is a need to exert pressure on the Telangana State Government for starting this project.
