Hyderabad: Dr. K. Narayana, National Secretary of CPI alleged that CM is avoiding Metro Rail Project in Old City.
With the attitude of the Govt. it feels as if KCR is not CM and Mahmood is not Dy. CM but the MIM brothers are CM and Dy. CM. He further told that Metro Rail will ensure progress of Old City but at the instance of MIM, CM is avoiding Metro Rail in Old City.
Instead of negotiating on Metro Rail Project from Darul Shifa to Falknuma, negotiations are being done on a new plan which is not acceptable.
He was addressing a Round Table Conference held at Press Club, Somajiguda on Thursday. Senior Congress leader and former MP, Mr. V. Hanumanth Rao, BJP MLA of Khairtabad, Mr. Ch. Ramachandra Reddy, former MLC of CPI, Mr. M. Sitaramulu, Convener Old City Metro Rail JAC, Mr. Rasheed Shareef, Convener of Round Table Conference, Mr. E.T. Narasimha, President of Deccan Wakf Protection Society, Mr. Osman bin Mohammed Al Hajiri, TJAC Chairman of Greater Hyderabad, Mr. Satyam Goud and other political leaders addressed the press conference and demanded to start Metro Rail Project in Old City.
Mr. Narayana told that all parties are organizing a campaign for starting Metro Rail Project in Old City.
Mr. KCR is not serious about this project. It seems CM and Dy. CM have no influence in Old City.
Mr. Hanumanth Rao told that the real Hyderabad is Old City. Govt. is neglecting its progress by misleading people. He further told that the lofty claims of making Hyderabad an international city will not be fulfilled until Metro Rail is started.
Mr. Ramchandra Reddy told that during the past 60 years, it is the first occasion that the development of Old City could be done.
Convener of Metro Rail JAC, Mr. Rashed Shareef told that with the installation of Metro Rail from Darul Shifa to Falaknuma, the development of Old City could be ensured. He also told that other routes are not acceptable. He alleged that construction activities are being treated as hindrances in religious activities. All those claims are false and baseless. He informed that negotiations have already been done with the managements of Dargah, Masajid and other religious places. They have agreed to give NOC.
Convener of Round Table Conference, Mr. E.T. Narasimha told that very soon, an all-party meeting would be held near Falaknuma in which Presidents and Secretaries of all political parties will be invited. All party delegation is making an attempt to take an appointment with the CM.
