Hyderabad Metro to become operational in November, Modi likely to kick off

Hyderabad: The 20-km Metro Rail network is likely to become operational in November this year. Telangana government is planning to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate Metro rail, who will also be attending the Global Investors’ Summit in November to be hosted by Hyderabad.

It must be recalled that the 12-km Miyapur-SR Nagar and the 8-km Nagole-Mettuguda Metro Rail stretches have already missed several deadlines. Beautification project is under process at these stretches carried out by Hyderabad Metro Rail authorities.

As reported by DC, a senior official in the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department revealed that earlier, the government had planned to inaugurate the 50-km stretch. However, this was converted into two phases.
