After the onset of summer so far, though the sky was cloudy only light to moderate showers were witnessed in many parts of TS.
The Met office on Tuesday forecasted heavy to moderate rain or thunder shower in many parts of TS on August 26 and 27. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers will occur at isolated places in Rayalaseema on August 27
The Met report said the cyclonic circulation over the west-central Bay and adjoining north-west Bay now lies over west-central Bay and adjoining north coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha.
During the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday, isolated rainfall occurred in Andhra Pradesh, while dry weather prevailed in Telangana.
According to Met dept, the chief amounts of rainfall in Telangana (in cm): Maddur, Jangaon, Shayampet 5 each, Parkal 4, Narmetta, Hyderabad, Heemadevarpalle, Narsampet,Hanmakonda,3 each. Andhra Pradesh(in cm) were: Yelamanchili, Tada 3 each, Rapur, Dowleswaam, Koyyalagudem, Amalapuram, Palakoderu, Yemmiganur, 2 each.
