Barcelona: Argentine superstar Lionel Messi has won the Trophy for the best goal in Barca’s history for his spectacular and unstoppable goal against Getafe during the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey 2006/07.
The competition for the best goal began on 20 March and four goals managed to make it in the top four and out of those four goals, three goals were by Messi and one by Sergi Roberto.

Messi’s run against Getafe received 45 per cent of the total votes out of the four goals, beating his efforts against Athletic Club in the Copa final (28 per cent) and in the Bernabeu in the Champions League (16 per cent).
Sergi Roberto’s against Paris Saint Germain in the 2016/17 Champions League received 11 per cent placing it fourth on the list.
The competition began three months back which initially had 63 goals overall, however, with over 500,000 votes these three goals by Messi and one by Sergi Roberto made it into the top four.
