Jaipur: Mercury plummeted by 1 to 5 degrees Celsius in many areas of Rajasthan today, following moderate to light rainfall in the past couple of days.
Sriganganagar and Bhadra recorded rainfall of 2cm each since yesterday. Several other areas such as Bikaner, Padampur, Sadulsahar, Sangaria, Pilibanga and Taranagar also received rain.
Jaisalmer was the hottest place in the state with a maximum of 42.5 degrees Celsius, followed by Kota 41.7, Barmer 41.6, Jodhpur 40.5, Ajmer 39.4, Jaipur 38.8, Dabok 38.6, Churu 38, Bikaner 37.5, Pilani 36.4 and Ganganagar 34.5 degrees Celsius.
