Men will be fined for occupying seats reserved for ladies

Occupying seats reserved for ladies may prove dear to men as RTC is planning to impose a fine of Rs 500 to the men who occupy seats reserved for ladies. RTC official told that 40 percent seats are reserved in city service and 30 percent in rural service for ladies.

Most of the time it is witnessed that men occupy ladies seats. To discourage men from occupying seats reserved for women, Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) officials decided to take stern action by imposing a fine of Rs 500 on men who occupy seats reserved for ladies.

Executive director RTC, A Kuteshwar Rao told that they were launching awareness campaign among men for the past one week and have directed bus conductors to ensure that men do not occupy seats reserved for ladies.
