On February 28, 2010, the then chief minister K Rosaiah had inaugurated Indira Reddy flyover, at Langar Houz, constructed with the cost of Rs. 17 crore. At that time a beautiful memorial was setup at the entrance of the flyover. The memorial constructed with an expenditure of lakhs of rupees had boards in Telugu, English and Urdu, however due to negligence of GHMC the memorial has been destroyed and the boards have been damaged.
Now it has been learnt that the memorial has been obliterated overnight. It must be noted that late YSR had laid the foundation stone of the flyover on January 1, 2007. The flyover is 750 metre long and 15 metre wide and has two way roads with two lanes on both the sides.
