Melissa McCarthy backlashes ‘Ghostbusters’ critiques

Washington : After bearing with all criticism over ‘Ghostbusters’ remake, actress Melissa McCarthy gives the haters a piece of her mind.
During an interview with ‘The Guardian’, the 45-year-old actress opened up about how she feels with the extensive disapproval to the remake.

“I just hope they (critics) find a friend”, adding the dissenters are “just sitting there and spewing hate into this fake world of the Internet,” E!Online quoted ‘ The Boss’ star as saying.

Reacting to the comments that the movie is ruining the childhood for some people, the actress retorted back saying, she does not understand how four women doing a movie can “destroy your childhood”.

Addressing the whitewashing accusations, McCarthy remarked “it was truly a coincidence” that Leslie Jones, the only African-American woman in the cast, has played a street-wise character as opposed to a scientist portrayed by McCarthy.

‘Ghostbusters’ starring Melissa McCarthy, Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones is set to hit the big screen on July 15. (ANI)
