Hyderabad: Mehveen Mohammadi is among the 6 students of Telangana Minorities Residential Schools of Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TMREIS) who will not only participate, but also present their project titled ‘TMREIS Fusion L5’ in the ISDC being organised by the National Space Society (NSS) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (Nasa) in the United State in May.
The outstanding performance of the students of Minority Residential Schools has proved that if given opportunity the BPLs can also reach heights… as said by a poet ‘zara nam ho to ye mitti bahut zarkhez hai saqi’. Mehveen’s economic or social backgrounds never deterred her from pursuing her dreams. With sheer determination and hard work, she has paved the way for her to participate in the prestigious International Space Development Conference.
Mehveen who belongs to Minority Residential School Golconda is the student of 7th standard. She has a lot of interest in science and research. Her dream is to save the world from the danger of environment. Daughter of Mohammed Ali resident of Golconda Qila was studying in private school. Her father is a milkman. She thanked Allah (SWT) for providing her opportunity to visit NASA she also thanked her school Principal Mrs Sayeeda Sultana who motivated her a lot.
The other students who would join Mehveen in the conference to display their project are Sayeed Ibrahim Ali, a Class IX student of TMR Boys School-Hayathnagar, Feroz Ahmed, Class VIII of TMR School, Serilingampally Boys, Safa Mehveen, Class IX of TMR School Ibrahimpatnam Girls, Feroz Hussain, Class VIII of TMR School-Gajwel Boys and Muskan Tabasum, Class VIII of TMR School-Gajwel Girls. All students who got selected hail from economically weak families. It must be noted that for the first time, students of government schools are taking part in the prestigious event.
