Islamabad: The daughter of Imran Khan’s third wife, Bushra Maneka, joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Monday.
Mehrunissa Hayat joined PTI following a meeting with step-father and Prime Minister-designate Imran Khan and mother Bushra, reported the Dawn.
This comes after Khan was officially nominated as the next Prime Minister candidate of the country in the party’s parliamentary meeting.
The PTI emerged as the single largest party with 116 seats after the ECP on July 28 released the complete preliminary results for 270 of 272 National Assembly (NA) constituencies.
It may be noted that Bushra has not been politically active after her marriage to Khan in February.
Bushra Maneka also congratulated Pakistan after PTI’s win in the recently-concluded general elections and said the newly- elected leader would stand for the oppressed women, widows and orphans, and protect the nation.
