Srinagar (J-K)[India]: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today to discuss law and order and internal security in the valley.
Mufti and Governor Vohra had wide ranging discussions, which particularly focused on the maintenance of law and order, internal security, pace of tourist arrivals in the valley.
They also discussed progress of the Amarnath Yatra, timely implementation of important schemes and projects, functioning of the universities, need for critical watch on the emergence of new educational institutions and the steps required to be taken to protect the interests of school, college and university students.
The meeting comes days after terrorist attack a bus carrying Amarnath Yatra pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir Anantnag district.
As many as seven people were killed and fifteen others injured in the terror attack carried out by terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. (ANI)
