Washington: Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle had a fashion faux pas when she arrived at the Polynesian Kingdom of Tonga along with Prince Harry on Thursday.
Markle accidentally left the tag at the bottom of her dress which read “Returns will only be accepted if this tag remains attached”, reported E! Online.
The Duchess of Sussex was wearing a Self-Portrait dress. She happened to have altered the full-length dress to a pleated skirt. Despite the faux pas, the dress was sold out in London.
The royal on their arrival at Tonga was welcomed by Princess Angelika Latufuipeka at the Fua’amotu Airport. The couple arrived from Fiji after a 90-minute long flight. They had a red carpet welcome, followed by a musical performance by locals who wore traditional attires.
Prince Harry and Markle are currently on a 6-day royal tour of Australia and South Pacific that started from October 16. It will end on October 31 with their visit to New Zealand.
The royal couple is also expecting their first child in 2019.
