Megan Fox to feature in Korean War Movie ‘Jangsa-ri’

Washington: Taewon Entertainment, a leading South Korean production house, has announced that Hollywood actress Megan Fox will appear in its “Jangsa-ri 9.15” film.

The film will focus on the Jangsa landing operation during the Korean War in 1950, which was a key part of the Battle of Incheon commanded by Douglas MacArthur, the then U.S. General.

Fox will play the role of Marguerite Higgins, A New York Herald Tribune war correspondent, who covered the Korean War and called on the international community for assistance. In 1951, Higgins became the first woman to win a Pulitzer Prize for Foreign Correspondence for her book ‘War In Korea: The Report Of A Woman Combat Correspondent’.

Speaking about the ‘Transformers’ actor, a Taewon spokesperson said that Fox is passionate about her role and has spent time studying Higgins and preparing visual concepts.

This is not the first war movie that Taewon has developed; it previously produced “Operation Chromite”, another Korean War film starring Liam Neeson as MacArthur.

Megan Fox’s previous credits include ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows’, ‘Jennifer’s Body’, ‘Zeroville’ and ‘Passion Play’.
