Jaipur, January 30: Mega Lok Adalats were organised in all the 34 districts across the state today by Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority in a bid to resolve disputes amicably and to bring an end to the multiplicity of litigation.
According to the figures supplied by RSLSA 51,262 cases of civil, revenue, matrimonial disputes and criminal nature were placed for the disposal before the Mega Lok Adalats.
“This is for the first time in the legal history of the country that such a large number of cases came to a complete end by way of the Mega Lok Adalats,” RSLSA Chairman Justice Prakash Tati said.
We have also recommended state government to withdraw as many as 15,000 cases that have been identified to yield no justice if persuaded by the state government, these case includes mainly cases of challans under Motor Vehicle Act, he said.
“Looking to the strong support both from bar as well as from litigants across the state we will now again organise week long Mega Lok Adalats from February 21 to 26 as also from March 22 to 26,” Justice Tatia added.
