Hyderabad: The 54th Infantry Division, in association with Rotary Club of Hyderabad Centennial, organised a “Mega Health Camp” in the Cantonment Board General Hospital at Bollaram on Sunday.
The camp was formally inaugurated at 10.30 am by Chief Guests Harpreet Singh, IAS, Principal Secretary to Governor of Telangana & AP States; Major General R S Mann, VSM, GOC , HQ 54 Infantry Division, Secunderabad.; Ms Smita Sabharwal, IAS, Addl Secretary to CM of Telangana State; Ratna Prabhakar Anne, District Governor, Rotary International and Dr Avula Bharath Prakash, Hon General Secretary, Indian Medical association, Telangana State.
The “BISION Division” will be celebrating the Golden Jubilee this year. As a part of run up to the Jubilee Celebration, 54 Infantry Division organised this Mega Health Camp for the weaker sections of the society. The aim of the medical camp was to provide medical assistance to the needy local populace on humanitarian grounds.
It was a Mega Health Camp in true sense as more than 120 Doctors, Physicians, Super Specialists, Technicians from Apollo, Maxcure, Yashoda, Pranaam, Century Super Speciality Hospitals, Military Hospital, Tapadia Diagnostic Centre, Mallareddy Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute attended to 5000 people. The specialists who participated in the camp include: Cardiologists, Dermatologists, Gynecologists, Urologists, ENT, Orthopedic, Eye, Dentist, Gastro, Oncologists and many more.
The camp provided medical assistance to the Defence(including Ex-Servicemen) and Civilian population of the area. The objective of the camp was to provide Free health check up, specialist consultation, diagnostics, primary treatment & selective follow up treatment of the individuals in association with Rotary Club of Hyderabad Centennial (RCHC).
