Kadapa, May 02: All the big heads of the state political parties have virtually turned the by-elections into a major issue with their concentration on Kadapa, from where YS.Jagan Mohan Reddy is contesting for the Lok Sabha. One of the recent addition to this bandwagon party is Chiranjeevi. He vows for a sure win for Congress candidate Dl.Ravindra Reddy. Chiranjeevi who also joined the campaigning on Congress behalf, has challenged Jagan Mohan Reddy and his followers to destabilize the Congress Government if they can.
Addressing the people at Porumamilla village, Chiranajeevi said “Several times Jagan and his followers have threatened the Congress government of destabilizing it. Now, I challenge them to do so, if they can. I am here to support the Congress party. As long as I am present here no one can destabilize it. Now, I come here to make the Congress party win the elections with bumper majority.”
“Jagan has several times criticized Sonia Gandhi for being greedy for power. But, she has never tried to install her son Rahul Gandhi into PM’s chair, where as Jagan Mohan Reddy wants the party and the people to install him in CM chair. Moreover, he is obliging his mother to roam in the streets asking for votes in the scorching summer heat, which she has never experienced during her husband late YSR regime.
This itself proves what Jagan Mohan Reddy’s nature is. He encouraged attacks on me, Chandra Babu and many of our party cadres. Everyone should condemn this kind of attitude of Jagan Mohan Reddy. Everyone has right to contest the elections and seek people’s verdict in democratic system. Hence, if anyone is going against means that, he is against democracy. I am sure that, people of this district give a clear and clever verdict teaching a good lesson to such person,” said Chiranjeevi.
But, did he have confidence that people of Kadapa ever believe his words at all? Did he expect them to forget what he says about Congress party to the same people during the last general elections? Let, the people spell their soul.
