Seema Andhra Ministers of Central Govt. met in the chamber of Central Textiles Minister, Mr. K.S. Rao yesterday evening. Ms. Panabaka Lakshmi has now decided to support integrated A.P. This Group of Ministers decided to meet Ms. Sonia Gandhi, Mr. Rahul Gandhi and Dr. Manmohan Singh. Reliable sources indicated that Dr. Manmohan Singh has invited them for negotiations. They had tendered their resignations from Central Ministry a month back.
Mr. M.M. Pallam Raju, Ms. Purandeshwari, Ms. K. Krupa Rani, Ms. Panabaka Lakshmi and Mr. J.D. Sailam attended the meeting. Ms. Panabaka Lakshmi was in favour of bifurcation of the State earlier but now she has changed her stand in favour of integrated A.P. These Ministers told that they would represent Ms. Sonia Gandhi, Mr. Rahul Gandhi and Dr. Manmohan Singh for withdrawing the decision of bifurcation of A.P. State. They would stress the need to keep the State integrated. Ms. Purandeshwari told that Ms. Panabaka Lakshmi had earlier told that it is not possible to stop the bifurcation of the State. If the State is divided, we should strive for the protection of the interest of the people of Seema Andhra region but now she has changed her stand and decided to exert her pressure on the Central Govt. and Congress High Command keeping the State united.
