Under the auspices of Telangana Urdu Teachers’ Association, an important Consultative meeting of the Teachers working as school Assistants who are eligible to get promotions as junior lecturers will be held at 4 p.m. today the 18th of September at Aliya High School, at Gunfoundry.
Mr. Masood Ahmed, Acting President of Telangana Urdu Teachers’ Association told that there are many teachers working as school Assistants. They are qualified for promotion as junior lecturers but they are denied promotions.
Recently, some senior teachers who were eligible were prompted as junior lecturers. He told that 40% quota of junior lecturers should be reserved for promotions from among the eligible school Assistants. The remaining vacancies of 60% should be filled up through direct recruitments.
A programme of action would be formulated to make representation to the Govt. in this regard.
