Syed Majeedullah alias Javeed, S/O late Syed Fazalullah, R/O Kotla Alijah is an expert in the art of vegetable carving. By sculpting vegetables like ash gourd, radish, carrot, beat root, coriander leaves, mint leaves, and other vegetables, he makes buildings, gardens, horse cart, bullock cart, bride groom, barati, birds, cattle and domestic animals. He also makes models of Taj Mahal, Charminar, Falaknuma and Qutub Minar with the help of vegetables. Not only this he also sculpts famous personalities like Modi, Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi on the vegetables; and he does it finely.
48-year-old, Syed Majeedullah whose art has made him to visit America thrice told that when he sculpted White House by radish, ash gourd and other vegetables, Americans were amazed to see it. He attributed his skill to the prayers of his late mother Zeenat Unnisa Begum. He began vegetable carving in 1995. He had shown his art on the occasion of tennis star Sania Mirza and cricketer Shoaib Malik’s wedding at Hotel Taj Krishna. He also showed his art on the occasion of wedding of Salman Khan’s sister at Falaknuma palace.
