Ever gawked at a properly dressed, made up woman walking down the street, thinking it was a transgender? Chances are that you might have spotted one of the “maskers”.
Maskers are men who disguise themselves into female dolls by putting on elaborate, lifelike rubber suits in an attempt to escape, express the more feminine parts of their personality or just to have fun, News.com.au reported.
Barbie Ramos, owner of the company Femskin that makes custom-made silicone outfits for maskers, said that such people are not freaky or weird, but like any other person except for at night or on special occasions, they like to put on a mask.
The world of female masking has been kept under wraps for a while, but it has now been explored in a new UK documentary ‘Secrets of the Living Dolls’. (ANI)
