Meet country’s oldest woman who never took any tablet

Hyderabad: High Range Book of Records has recognised 119-year-old, Tekumatla Narsamma as the oldest woman in the country based on her Aadhaar data.

Tekumatla Narsamma was born on January 1, 1898 in Bonguluru village near Adibatla in Ranga Reddy district. Narasamma belonged to the ‘Holia Dasari’ community. Since she married to Tekumatla Jangaiah in her 16s, Narsamma shifted to Vanasthalipuram. She had three sons and a daughter however all the sons died. He only daughter Gollu Pentamma who is now 74-years-old is taking care of her since the death of her husband, 20 years ago.

Her daughter Pentamma (74) told that her mother has no health issue and takes rice thrice a day. As far as she knows her mother the oldest woman of the country had never taken any tablet for fever or cold.
