Meet the Andes survivor who ate rats to keep himself alive

An Uruguayan man, who was reported missing in the Andes since May and later found alive in Argentina’s San Juan province, has revealed that he hunted rats with a homemade trap for food.

According to rescuers, 58-year-old Raul Fernando Gomez Cincunegui also consumed sugar, raisins and food that was present in the huts in the Andes Mountains, News.com.au reported.

Doctors, who are treating Cincunegui at a hospital in San Juan, Argentina, said that Cincunegui lost 20 kilograms and was severely dehydrated, but was otherwise in good condition. (ANI)
