Meerut: The communal differences between Hindus and Muslim communities are now a well-established fact in India, with political parties behind it, forcing the people to live with the hatred seed sown deeply in their hearts and not the in harmony.
Recently, residents of Maliwara- Hindu dominated locality in Meerut have allegedly prevented a Muslim buyer from taking possession of the house he bought from a Hindu Jeweller this Sunday.
Speaking of the matter, Inspector, Kotwali, Yashveer Singh said that it was a matter of property sale which both the parties compromising after the Police intervened.
He added that the parties decided to refund the payment paid by the Muslim buyer by February 18 next year.
Deepak Sharma, of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) responded in support of the Hindu residents, he said, “Many Hindu-dominated localities like Shyam Nagar, Baniyapara, Tiwari quarters and Bank colony have become Muslim areas in the last few years. We cannot allow this to go on.”
Sharma said that a Hindu buyer would be searched to purchase the property and the money taken from the Muslim buyer would be returned to him.
Sandeep Goel, a local corporator had also supported the protests by the locals.
Sanjay Rastogi a jeweler sold his house in Maliwara for Rs 28 lakhs to a Muslim- Noman, a resident of Ismail Nagar.
The locals held the protest when both the parties reached on Sunday night to take the possession of the house. Kotwali police was called in to solve the issue, reports HT.
Pradeep, a resident of Maliwara, said the buyer Noman had agreed to leave the property in exchange for refund money he paid within two months.
While jeweler Rastogi has told that no one from the locality came to his help for the past two when he asked them to help him sell the property.
