Medicos in gandhi hospital continue strike

The lightning strike launched by junior doctors in Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad entered the second day on Tuesday. With the medicos abstained from duties, the patients were facing hardships since Monday.

While services to the out-patients remained stopped, tension prevailed in the hospital due to heated arguments between the in-patients and the striking medicos. The hospital authorities’ efforts to pacify the junior doctors ended in vain. With this, the hospital services remained paralysed for the last two days causing untold hardship to the patients.

It may be mentioned here that a trivial dispute between a lady medico and relatives of an inpatient led to lightning strike by the junior doctors since Sunday midnight.
