Hyderabad, April 29: A third-year medical student of a private college here has alleged that her senior attempted to rape her after she turned down his proposals for love, police said today.
The 20-year-old medico lodged a complaint with Moinabad police yesterday accusing a fourth-year medical student of trying to molest her in a room at the hostel premises of the medical college on April 24, they said.
“The girl in her complaint has stated that the youth was harassing her for past three years by making love proposals, which she had rejected. On April 24, he snatched her cell phone and attempted to rape her in a room. However, she managed to escape,” a senior police officer said.
The youth is absconding after the incident, police said.
