Hyderabad, August 05: Mr. Shahabuddin Hashmi, President A.P. Working Journalists Federation requested all the Journalists to get their last year’s mediclaim policies renewed before 11th August 2011. Under this scheme, State Govt. provides facilities for treatments upto Rs. 2 lakh. This scheme is in operation for the past six years.
All the journalists of print and electronic media should register their applications along with their identity cards and photos. They have to pay Rs. 900/- towards the premium of the mediclaim policy. The policy consists of Rs. 2,860 for a year. The journalist will be eligible to receive treatment for himself, wife and upto two children.
