On Friday, a 26-year-old medical student of a private college committed suicide at her home.
According to sources, the deceased, Merla Srilakshmi of Velangi village in East Godavari district was pursuing MD in radiology. On Friday, when she was alone as her parents were not at home, Srilakshmi hanged herself.
Her father, Bhavani Shankar, a businessman, found her body when he returned. In her suicide note, Srilakshmi wrote that she was ill-treated at her college. she took the extreme step as she was incapable of bearing the ill-treatment.
