Hyderabad, September 20 (Siasat News): As many as 50 medical employees including doctors, professors and assistant professors of Gandhi Hospital landed in hospital after eating poisonous snacks.
According to sources Gandhi hospital and medical staff participated in a seminar on Saturday evening where they had taken burger, pizza and sandwiches.
The participants who had the snacks on Sunday morning suffered from vomiting. Hospital sources said that the eatables were bought from a Bakery at Padmarao Nagar, Secunderabad.
When informed about the incident Health and Sanitation Wing of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation picked up the samples of the eatables from the said bakery and GHMC officials have confirmed that the staff has suffered by the eatables supplied by the bakery. Relatives of the sufferers staged protest in front of the bakery. A junior doctor named Swapna fell seriously ill, however her condition is said to be out of danger.
