Dubai, February 04: The Public Prosecution is keen to leave no loose ends in the alleged molestation case of a four-year-old girl on a school bus last November and has intensified efforts to find out the truth. Khaleej Times has now learnt that an independent medical panel has been appointed to determine the role of the three detained suspects in the alleged incident.
The source added that the panel would validate the report of the Dubai Police Criminal Laboratory, making no room for discrepancies. The medical team is also tasked to provide the investigation team with facts that could incriminate or acquit the suspects. The Public Prosecution has been quizzing the three men — the school bus driver, the supervisor and his assistant — all Indians (aged 26, 37 and 44), following a complaint filed by the girl’s parents. The trio allegedly molested the girl during her journey back home from school on November 11 last year.
According to the source, a molestation or rape charge would be filed after the investigation was completed and once the technical reports were submitted. The suspects would then be referred to court. The source said prosecutors were waiting for other technical reports like on the examination of the clothes the girl was wearing at the time of the incident. The findings would determine whether the DNA of the alleged stains found on the clothes matched with those of the suspects.
