(Siasat News) A Medical conference to commemorate the millennium death anniversary of father of medicine, Abul Khasim Al-Zehravi’s contribution to the field of medicine is being held from 13th to 15th December in New Delhi at India Islamic Cultural Centre, Lodhi Road. According to Dr. Mohammed Manzoor Alam, Chairman of Institute of Objective Studies, New Delhi. The contribution of Abul Khasim Al-Zehravi is a golden chapter in the field of medicine and it is a grand heritage for the Muslims which inspires the Muslims to march forward in the field of medical science.
On completion of 1000 years of his death this conference is being held in New Delhi in collaboration with Muslim Educational, Social and Cultural Organization (MESCO), Hyderabad. Dr. Faqruddin Mohammed, Secretary of MESCO told that this conference is an important step taken in the field of medicine. There is no entry fees for this conference. Every medical student, research scholars in the field of medicine, doctors, unani hakeems and other persons interested in the field of Medical research may attend this conference.
It may be noted that Al-Zehravi was the first scientist of Spain who devised to instruments in optics and wrote a compendium on medicine covering various branches of medicine like Surgery, Optics etc.
