Medical college in Nalgonda under consideration

Establishment of a medical College in Nalgonda district is under active consideration of the State government, said Minister for Health C. Laxma Reddy in the State Assembly today.

The Health Minister  said this while replying to Congress member Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who reminded that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had made an assurance to start a medical college. The minister pointed out that establishment of medical in Nalgonda was under the consideration of the government.

Laxma Reddy also explained that in the meantime, the government was taking all measures to upgrade the present hospital in Nolgonda with an allotment of Rs 27 crore. The 220-bed hospital would be upgraded into 55-bed hospital and also specialty units like ICU and Dialysis center would be added to the hospital, he explained. (NSS)
