Hyderabad, April 17: Mediators trying to patchup the strained relations between Chiranjeevi’s daughter Srija and her husband Sirish Bharadwaj have put a brief halt to their efforts. The reason: Time is not auspicious for discussions!
Sources in the know of things said that the mediation which was initiated between the two families has come to a halt.
“Both the family members were not keen on discussing the issue since the period is inauspicious now . They decided to resume the talks after April 18 when the auspicious time begins,” sources said.
Surprisingly, though for the record, police officials maintain that Sirish is absconding, sources say his whereabouts were known to senior officials but due to pressure from certain quarters, they are ‘facilitating’ the negotiations by not arresting Sirish.
Elders of both the families with the help of few mediators tried to settle the issue in an amicable manner. But police said that Srija is not keen on continuing the relationship whereas Sirish wants to patch up.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi is said to have left the decision to his daughter. “It is up to her. If she decides to go for a divorce, I will support her decision,” Chiranjeevi reportedly told the mediators.
Sirish was denied anticipatory bail by the Nampally criminal court. The couple and their respective families were supposed to attend the counselling session organised by the Metropolitan Legal Services Authority (MLSA) today. “But both the parties did not attend the meeting and so it was postponed,” CLN Narasimha Rao, counsel for Sirish said.
Officials of the Central Crime Station (CCS) claim that efforts were being made to locate Sirish. Srija had lodged a complaint against her husband at the CCS alleging that he has been harassing her for dowry. Fearing arrest from police, Sirish was absconding for the last one month.
Srija has been staying with her parents ever since she parted ways with Sirish.
