Srinagar, July 10: Journalists today staged a demonstration here to protest what they said curbs imposed by the government on media in Kashmir.
Before staging the protest at Pratap Park, the mediapersons decided to suspend publications of newspapers in Kashmir unless steps were taken to lift the restrictions.
This decision was unanimously taken at a joint meeting of various representative bodies of the media in Kashmir, a statement issued by the mediapersons said.
The meeting also condemned what they said the curbs imposed on cable TV networks in Kashmir.
