Hyderabad, February 20: Chief Minister K Rosaiah has said that a mechanism can be evolved for effective implementation of GO 610 (on repatiration of employees to their native zones) if Telanagna protagonists so desire.
Speaking with reporters here today, he said that even the demand for choosing a leader from Telangana to occupy the post of deputy chief minister could be looked into it.
Responding to questions from journalists on the demands made by MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi in the Assembly today, Rosaiah said the previous House had a committee to oversee implementation of GO 610. If needed, a mechanism could be developed now, he said, adding that other demands like implementation of the Gentlemen’s Agreement and Six-Point Formula could also be considered while the Justice Srikrishna Committee went about its exercise. However, he did not comment on the Regional Development Boards. He said said he had no objection to safeguarding the interests of Telangana if the region’s leaders wanted it.
The chief minister declined to comment on the Supreme Court staying the High Court’s orders to withdraw police forces from the Osmania University campus.
