Hyderabad: Strict security measurements have been taken care of in the city by Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar in view of the 12th anniversary of the Mecca Masjid bomb blast on Saturday.
Four IPS officers, 14 senior Police officials have been deployed in various zones in the city.
Shikha Goel, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crimes) will be in-charge of the South Zone which shall cover the historic Mecca Masjid and other communally sensitive areas too.
Meanwhile, DS Chauhan, Addl CP (Law and Order) shall be an overall in-charge to offer assistance to the Police Commissioner.
Two other senior IPS officials, T Murali Krishna, Addl CP (CAR Hqrs), and Avinash Mohanty, DCP, Detective Department, shall be monitoring the situation in Madannapet, Saidabad and Goshamahal and Asifnagar respectively.
Likewise, senior officials, BSP Ravi Kumar will be in-charge of Mirchowk and Charminar areas and IRS Murthy will be supervising bandobast in Santosh Nagar division.
Likewise, MA Bari would be monitoring the situation in Amberpet, while G Jogaiah would be in-charge of Moghalpura and Bhavani Nagar said the Commissioner on Friday.
While Miraza Riyaz Baigh has been deployed at the historic Charminar and Mecca Masjid to closely monitor the arrangements.
Similarly, M Krishna Reddy would be in-charge of Tappachabutra and Kulsumpura and V Devender Kumar would be in-charge of check deployment of the bomb disposal teams on the field.
Officer M Srinivas Rao shall be monitoring Mangalhat and Shahinayathgunj while KN Vijay Kumar shall be supervising the situation at Amberpet.
NB Ratnam has been made in-charge of Hussaini Alam and Shahalibanda areas.
