Special Officer Waqf Board Mr. Jalaluddin Akber has taken several steps to activate legal department to ensure protection of Waqf properties and speedy settlement of cases pending in the court.
Hundreds of cases are pending with high Court and other courts relating to Waqf properties in which counter affidavits have not been submitted by the Waqf board. As a result settlement of the case is delayed.
After taking stock of the situation along with the legal department of the board, Special Officer has decided to hire services of foreign legal experts to submit counter affidavits. Besides counter affidavits are also being prepared by engaging the services of local advocates having commitment towards protection of Waqf property.
